About the Role:

As a Senior Support Worker, you will work as part of a dedicated team of carers, collaborating in sub-teams to provide ongoing support to young people. You will be guided and coordinated by Team Leaders or Seniors, with typical shifts involving 6-7 therapeutic carers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to young people, promoting their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being.
  • Collaborate with the on-site school and therapy teams within a therapeutic community framework, participating in reflection sessions to enhance your personal and professional growth.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with young people, their families, and other stakeholders, ensuring open communication and effective boundary management.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of individualized care plans, ensuring the needs of young people are met and their goals are achieved.
  • Contribute to a safe and supportive environment, promoting a culture of respect, empathy, and understanding.

Requirements:

  • QCF Level 3 in Children and Young People (or equivalent) is essential.
  • Previous experience in residential childcare is required, though our client will support you in adapting to their specialized practice model.
  • Strong English and basic IT skills are required.
  • Must have a full UK driving licence.
  • A sense of humour, creativity, resilience, and a passion for working with young people are essential.
