**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Reserve Management Specialist to join our team at Berks, Bucks & Oxon Wildlife Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Western reserves team, including staff, volunteers, and contractors, and ensuring the successful implementation of conservation projects.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Manage the Western reserves team, including staff, volunteers, and contractors, to ensure the successful implementation of conservation projects.
  • Develop and implement reserve management plans, including agri-environmental schemes, to achieve conservation objectives.
  • Liaise with statutory agencies to ensure compliance with regulations and best management practices.
  • Oversee the Trust's relationship with stakeholders, including community groups and local authorities.
  • Write, implement, and supervise contracts to achieve annual project programmes.
  • Contribute to Trust policies and procedures.
  • Identify and deliver projects on Western reserves.
  • Manage budgets and resources to achieve conservation objectives.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with contractors and suppliers.
  • Provide training and support to staff and volunteers.
  • Monitor and report on conservation progress and outcomes.

**Requirements**

  • Contract and project management experience.
  • Grant aid application and management skills and knowledge.
  • Experience in managing staff, volunteers, and contractors.
  • Ability to work with a minimum of supervision and show high levels of initiative.
  • Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends as necessary.
  • Budgetary and work planning skills and knowledge.
  • Tree safety assessment training.
  • Trailer driving qualification.
  • Competent in use of MS Office functions and GIS.
  • Current UK valid manual car driving licence.
