Specific Hours: 11:00 pm - 08:00 am working on a weekly 7 day rotating shift pattern. Salary: £25,015.27 per annum. Leaving Care Solutions is in search of dedicated and passionate Overnight Childcare Support Specialists to work a maximum of 4 nights per week.

We offer young people accommodation and assist them in their journey towards independent living and educational success.

As an Overnight Childcare Support Specialist, your responsibilities will include delivering a responsive, tailored, and high-quality service to young individuals residing in their own flats or shared accommodations.

The young individuals supported by Leaving Care Solutions are vulnerable, and you will be accountable for ensuring that the environment in which you work is safe, welcoming, and conducive to their well-being.


Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with person-centred risk assessments and support plans, ensuring effective communication with support staff for comprehensive handovers.
2. Monitor any changes in behaviour, documenting appropriate actions and reporting alterations in the support needs of any young individual.
3. Foster positive relationships with young individuals, colleagues, and professionals through effective communication, actively seeking collaborative opportunities to enhance the experiences of young individuals in our care.
4. Provide continuous support to young individuals, maintaining the standards set by daytime staff, with a particular emphasis on the safety of vulnerable individuals.
5. Execute necessary health and safety tasks, including cleaning duties, in accordance with established policies and procedures.
6. Liaise with external agencies, such as law enforcement and emergency services.
7. Assist young individuals who require transportation to medical facilities or law enforcement agencies.

Essential Qualifications:
- Experience in supporting vulnerable young individuals.
- Flexibility in availability, including weekend work.
- Possession of a Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma, Children and Young People's Workforce, NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care, or a willingness to pursue equivalent qualifications.
- A valid driving license and access to a vehicle.
- Proficient computer skills.
