About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias to join our dedicated team at our Gainsborough manufacturing facility. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our production processes by minimizing downtime through proactive maintenance and swift fault resolution.

Your Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance tasks on a diverse range of equipment, encompassing mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic control systems.
  • Utilize your expertise to diagnose and rectify faults efficiently, minimizing production disruptions.
  • Contribute to a safe and productive work environment by adhering to strict health and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate effectively with other engineers and team members to achieve shared goals.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Apprenticeship-trained Engineer to NVQ Level 3 standard in Electrical Engineering, with the 18th Edition qualification being highly advantageous.
  • Comprehensive understanding of electrical engineering principles within a heavy industrial manufacturing setting.
  • Proven experience in fault finding and troubleshooting PLC systems, particularly Siemens PLCs.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to varying work activities and production requirements.
  • Strong commitment to environmental and health & safety regulations.
  • A genuine passion for engineering with a desire for continuous learning and development.
