Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our Offshore Procurement team in Grimsby. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for purchasing services and spare parts for our operational sites.

About the Role:

This is an excellent development opportunity for someone with some procurement experience and a keen interest in progressing in this area. You will support our fleet of offshore sites, focusing on those in the Grimsby area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hold regular meetings with site staff to meet the contractual needs of the site/s and encourage early procurement involvement
  • Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships (internal and external)
  • Prepare tender documents, issue tenders and carry out tender evaluations as needed
  • Prepare approval and confirmation award documentation to support contract award decisions and place contracts with the successful suppliers
  • Vendor invoice management - provide invoice query support for purchase orders
  • Use RWE systems for supplier qualification, conducting tender processes, and in day-to-day procurement activities
  • Develop and maintain an ongoing supplier relationship management with the suppliers
  • Maintain key performance indicators and the performance of suppliers under the individual Contracts
  • Develop and maintain appropriate procurement/Project/Contract records
  • Provide general commercial support to the Team
  • Understand and apply agreed contract terms and conditions
  • Advise and support on appropriate procurement methods/strategies and identify supply chain risks

Requirements:

  • Experience in buying goods and/or services previously
  • Some exposure to Material Management Systems, preferably SAP S4 HANA, and keen to learn and use new software applications
  • MCIPS member or studying to become a MCIPS accredited member would be advantageous
  • Experience and/or understanding of wind farms operations advantageous
  • Ability to effectively understand commercial risks to minimise impacts on the project
  • Experienced in building relationships
  • Self-motivation and ability to deliver on commitments
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required to support delivery of the procurement activities
  • Effective communication skills across a wide range of stakeholders both internally and externally
  • Flexible and pragmatic with a good work ethic
