Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will serve as the Responsible Clinician, delivering comprehensive psychiatric care to individuals within our specialized service for women facing complex personality disorders and co-occurring eating disorders. Your expertise will be pivotal in facilitating transformative treatment, supported by a Specialty Doctor and a top-tier multidisciplinary team.
Core Duties Include:
- Collaborating within a multidisciplinary team (MDT) to ensure holistic patient care.
- Overseeing patient treatment plans in partnership with the MDT.
- Conducting thorough assessments and mental state evaluations of service users.
- Implementing appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.
- Participating in clinical audits and ward rounds.
- Leading risk assessment and management initiatives while embedding clinical governance.
- Supervising documentation for Mental Health Act tribunals and attending hearings as required.
- Engaging in the on-call rota for additional support.

Candidate Profile
We are looking for individuals who are:
- Fully registered with the GMC and possess an MBBS (or equivalent) qualification.
- Registered on the specialist register with relevant qualifications.
- Experienced in adult psychiatry and mental health diagnostics.
- Knowledgeable about the Mental Health Act and related legislation.
- Excellent communicators capable of conducting assessments and documenting care effectively.
- Committed to ongoing professional development.
- Able to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Members of the Royal College of Psychiatrists or equivalent.
Successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
