About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Legal Director to join our thriving Health Employment team in Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute your expertise to a dynamic and supportive environment, where you will play a pivotal role in advising NHS clients on complex employment law matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive legal counsel to healthcare organizations across the NHS, primary care, and private health sectors.
  • Lead and manage complex employment tribunal litigation cases, ensuring successful outcomes for our clients.
  • Advise on a wide range of employment law issues, including:
    • Maternity and paternity rights
    • Discrimination
    • Whistleblowing
    • Employee relations
    • Disciplinary matters and grievances
    • Dismissals, redundancy, and restructuring
    • TUPE
    • Employment tribunal claims
  • Contribute to transactional support for clients.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring exceptional service delivery.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the health sector.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the firm to share expertise and contribute to a positive work environment.

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an employment law specialist, ideally within the health sector.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality legal advice and client service.
