Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Night Receptionist to join our team at Mercure Bristol Grand Hotel. As a Night Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable stay.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide night-hour reception services to guests, contributing to an overall exceptional experience from check-in through check-out.
- Complete audits, as required, to ensure accuracy and attention to detail.
- Achieve positive outcomes from guest queries in a timely and efficient manner, demonstrating a high level of customer service at all times.
- Ensure that both the Night Manager and Night Reception Supervisors are kept fully aware of any relevant feedback from guests and other departments.
- Attend appropriate training courses, when required, and assist with the Night Team's training and development efforts.
- Demonstrate a knowledge of hotel room categories, room rates, packages, promotions, and other general product knowledge necessary to perform daily duties.
- Maximize room occupancy and use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities.
- Use the correct procedures regarding the acceptance of foreign currencies, credit cards, and cash in accordance with the hotel credit policy.
- Act in accordance with policies and procedures when working with front-of-house equipment and property management systems.
- Assist other departments, as necessary.
Requirements:
- Excellent customer service skills, with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to work morning, afternoon, evening, and weekends, with flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work under pressure, with resilience and creativity in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of hotel operations, including room categories, room rates, packages, and promotions.
- Ability to use front-of-house equipment and property management systems, with a strong understanding of hotel credit policies.
