Insurance Claims Processor/Handler

Fixed Term Contract 12 months

At Gregory Distribution, we are currently seeking a Insurance Claims Processor/Handler on a Fixed Term Contract for 12 months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with operational teams to supply necessary data to external claims handlers.
  • Coordinate with the fleet department regarding the expenses associated with own damage claims, ensuring claims handlers are updated, especially for non-fault claims.
  • Communicate with the insurance broker concerning historical policies and claims.
  • Work with operations to guarantee that accident investigations are finalized and relevant footage is submitted.
  • Foster relationships with the Group's insurance broker, insurance providers, and claims management service provider, participating in regular review meetings as needed.
  • Partner with service providers to identify strategies for continuous improvement in claims costs.
  • Ensure that best practice processes are implemented to effectively manage all insurance claims, delivering timely management information and KPIs while identifying and executing continuous improvements to minimize costs.
  • Assist with inputs into freight liability and property spreadsheets.
  • Maintain the accuracy and currency of the Motor Insurance Database (MID) at all times.
  • Provide support to the business regarding all other insurance policies as necessary.

Essential Skills:

  • Previous experience in claims handling, ideally in motor personal injury claims.
  • Proficient in IT, including Microsoft Office, with the ability to adapt to various bespoke systems.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the capability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a dynamic environment.
