Design Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Design Engineer to join our team at Workshop Recruitment. In this role, you will play a key part in the design and manufacturing processes of our heritage lanterns.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering and design, with experience in producing and reading engineering drawings. Proficiency in CAD software, preferably Autodesk Inventor, is also essential.

As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for assisting in the design of heritage lanterns, developing and refining detailed CAD models and engineering drawings, and working closely with the manufacturing team to ensure designs are implemented effectively.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Designing heritage lanterns that are both historically accurate and functionally robust.
  2. Developing and refining detailed CAD models and engineering drawings using Autodesk Inventor.
  3. Interpreting and producing engineering drawings that accurately communicate design intent for manufacturing.
  4. Working closely with the manufacturing team to ensure designs are implemented effectively and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
  5. Contributing to problem-solving during the design and production stages, addressing technical challenges with practical solutions.

Qualifications required include a qualification in engineering, proficiency in CAD software, and experience in producing and reading engineering drawings. Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a keen attention to detail are also essential.
