Design Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Design Engineer to join our team at Workshop Recruitment. In this role, you will play a key part in the design and manufacturing processes of our heritage lanterns.

The successful candidate will be involved in all phases of product development, working from initial concepts through to final production. You will work closely with our manufacturing team to ensure designs are implemented effectively and troubleshoot any issues that arise.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is eager to apply their technical skills in a creative and hands-on environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design heritage lanterns that are both historically accurate and functionally robust.
  2. Develop and refine detailed CAD models and engineering drawings using Autodesk Inventor.
  3. Interpret and produce engineering drawings that accurately communicate design intent for manufacturing.
  4. Work closely with the manufacturing team to ensure designs are implemented effectively.
  5. Contribute to problem-solving during the design and production stages.
Qualifications:
  1. A qualification in engineering (e.g., degree, diploma, certificate, or equivalent).
  2. Proficiency in CAD software, preferably Autodesk Inventor.
  3. Experience in producing and reading engineering drawings.
  4. Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to handle various tasks within a small company.
