Position Overview
Energizer Holdings, Inc. is seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving facilities and equipment within our manufacturing plant.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance and Repair
- Perform routine maintenance on plant equipment (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical)
- Diagnose and repair equipment failures
- Develop and implement a preventative maintenance schedule
- Conduct regular inspections of buildings and facilities
Facility Management
- Oversee daily operations to ensure a safe working environment
- Manage building systems (security, fire alarms)
- Coordinate with contractors for repairs and maintenance
Compliance and Safety
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards
- Conduct regular safety inspections
- Develop and implement safety protocols and emergency plans
Project Management
- Plan and oversee facility improvement projects
- Prepare project budgets and timelines
- Coordinate with stakeholders and contractors
Energy Management
- Monitor and manage energy consumption
- Implement energy-saving initiatives
Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities
- Prepare reports on facility operations
Requirements
Applicants should possess a minimum of a Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Facilities Management or Engineering
3-5 years of experience in facilities engineering
Knowledge of regulatory standards
Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is an asset
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
