Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and proactive individual to become a part of our Respiratory administrative team, providing essential support during a period of maternity leave.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality administrative assistance to the Respiratory team, ensuring that effective systems are established for the seamless management of the patient journey. Responsibilities include:

  • Timely management of digital transcriptions in line with organizational standards.
  • Proactive coordination of waiting lists to ensure patient appointments align with clinical priorities and established waiting times.
  • Supporting optimal capacity utilization for patient pathways.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential Criteria

  • A minimum of 3 GCSEs, including English and Maths at Grade C or above, or equivalent qualifications/relevant experience.
  • RSA III or NVQ III or equivalent qualifications/relevant experience.
  • ECDL or equivalent qualifications/relevant experience.

Organizational Skills

Essential Criteria

  • A systematic and organized approach to tasks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficient data entry, typing, and verification skills.

Interpersonal Skills

Essential Criteria

  • Ability to interact calmly and diplomatically with diverse personalities and situations.

  • Dependable, punctual, and trustworthy.

Knowledge and Experience

Essential Criteria

  • Prior experience in a clerical or administrative capacity.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and a demonstrable working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word.
  • Capability to adhere to and promote standard operating procedures and performance targets.

Desirable Criteria

  • Understanding of Referral to Treatment Patient Access Policies and procedures.
  • Proficient in all waiting list functions on PAS and capable of executing these independently.
