About the Role:

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Lead Scientist in Credit Risk Modeling. As a key member of our Borrowing Decision Scientists team, you will play a critical role in improving customer and business outcomes through better automated decisioning, using Machine Learning and Statistical modeling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive innovations by identifying new opportunities for data and ML applications, and delivering business value across multiple Borrowing products.
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge and experience in the credit industry, including products, data, typical ML applications, and related regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders to manage complex projects, including project scoping, data curation, model optimization, performance analysis, deployment, monitoring, and diagnosis.
  • Ensure the quality and efficiency of model development, and spearhead the continuous development of our toolings, methodologies, and processes.
  • Work with external data suppliers and industry peers to push the innovation frontiers for the credit industry.

Requirements:

  • Excellent technical skills in Python, SQL, and statistics.
  • Extensive knowledge of the credit industry, including products, data, typical ML applications, and related regulations.
  • Hands-on experience across the lifecycle of credit risk models, including project scoping, data curation, model optimization, performance analysis, deployment, monitoring, and diagnosis.
  • Successful track record of managing complex projects, with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience of handling relationships with data suppliers such as credit bureaus.
  • Previous experience of managing data and model governance.

Interview Process:

The interview process will involve a take-home task and four virtual face-to-face stages, including a technical interview, case study, value and collaboration, and leadership assessment.
