Position Overview

The Strategic Sourcing Lead will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies while managing supplier partnerships. This role offers a unique opportunity to be part of a newly established team, allowing for extensive exposure to various indirect categories and playing a crucial role in the evolution and enhancement of the procurement function.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Formulate and execute sourcing strategies to optimize processes and achieve cost efficiencies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to design sourcing plans that align with organizational objectives.
  • Evaluate and report on procurement metrics to monitor performance and identify savings opportunities.
  • Stay informed on market dynamics and supplier performance to mitigate risks and seize opportunities while ensuring adherence to compliance standards.
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with key suppliers.
  • Identify and manage supply chain risks while developing contingency strategies.
  • Encourage continuous improvement and innovation in supplier engagements.
  • Support supplier development initiatives and benchmark practices against industry standards.
Qualifications:
  • Experience as a Procurement Manager, Category Manager, or Supplier Relationship Manager within the financial services sector.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving cost reductions and improving supplier performance.
  • Strong analytical capabilities.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Compensation and Work Environment:
  • Salary range: £70,000 - £90,000.
  • Flexible working arrangement: Hybrid model with a mix of remote and in-office work.
