About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Centre Shift Leader to join our team at Stott and May. As a Data Centre Shift Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers on a 24/7 shift pattern to ensure the smooth operation, maintenance, and risk management of critical data center systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage the engineering shift team to deliver high-quality service and ensure safety compliance.
  • System Operations: Operate and maintain M&E systems, including HV Electrical systems, with a focus on efficiency and risk management.
  • Authorized Person: Act as the Authorized Person for 11kV Electrical Systems, managing Permits to Work (PTW).
  • Subcontractor Management: Oversee subcontractor work, ensuring it aligns with client requirements and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Reporting and Inventory: Ensure accurate reporting of completed tasks and maintain stock levels of critical spares.
  • Culture Development: Promote a culture of continuous improvement, safety awareness, and operational excellence.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in data center or critical environment operations.
  • HV Authorized Person qualification.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage a team effectively.
  • Proactive approach with a high level of initiative and attention to detail.
