Job Summary: Reed - Further Education is seeking a skilled Library Assistant to join our team in a state-of-the-art digital and learning centre.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the front desk and provide excellent customer service to learners.
- Manage the signing out of resources and ensure they are returned on time.
- Assist with the resetting of passwords and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Support learners with digital skills, including Google and other online platforms.
- Maintain a tidy and organized workspace, ensuring a positive learning environment.
- Deal with challenging behaviour and provide guidance to learners.
- Help learners use equipment, such as printing and other digital tools.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in education.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage challenging behaviour and work with learners of varying ages and abilities.
- Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through Reed Compliance.
- Level 2 or equivalent in English and Maths.
About the Role: As a Library Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of our learners. You will work closely with the team to provide a positive and inclusive learning environment.
