About the Role

Vision for Education - Cornwall is seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team in a specialist SEND provision. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting students with complex needs, promoting their learning and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support small groups of students and provide 1:1 assistance as needed
  • Offer academic, social, emotional, and mental support to students
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized learning plans
  • Provide personal care and support to students as needed, after full training is provided
Requirements
  • Ability to work with a wide range of children with complex additional needs
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, with SEND experience desirable
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build positive professional relationships
