Elevating the Southern Co-op Experience
Southern Co-op is on the lookout for a Team Supervisor to become part of our dynamic retail environment. Our stores serve as more than mere shopping destinations; they are integral to the community, providing a gathering space for residents and essential services for those in need. In the role of Team Supervisor, you will collaborate closely with the Store Manager to motivate, empower, and lead a team of dedicated colleagues.
Key Qualifications
We are seeking an individual who can inspire and guide the team, uphold our values and community commitment, and deliver outstanding customer service. While previous experience in a similar role is advantageous, it is not mandatory as thorough training will be provided. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, possess excellent communication and organizational skills, and demonstrate a collaborative 'can-do' attitude. Key responsibilities include:
- Participating in all store operations, including Post Office, Parcel Services, Local Suppliers, Community Programs, and Home Delivery Services
- Engaging with and supporting the local community
- Assisting in overseeing store operations to ensure a safe, compliant, and high-performing business, with overall accountability in the absence of the Store Manager
- Setting a positive example and guiding the team to deliver exceptional customer experiences
- Promoting continuous business growth by leading and developing team members
This position is part-time, requiring 18 hours per week distributed over 2 days. Flexibility and a commitment to working varied hours, including mornings, evenings, and weekends, are essential.
Why Choose Southern Co-op?
At Southern Co-op, we offer more than just employment. As a company owned entirely by our members, we prioritize people - extending this commitment to our employees. You will be part of a supportive team with opportunities for career advancement, whether through internal training or apprenticeship programs. We provide a comprehensive range of benefits, including a 20% discount for colleagues, generous annual leave, healthcare options, employee support services, shopping discounts, pension plans, cycle-to-work programs, colleague referral incentives, and more.
