About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a registered nurse to work as a Band 6 Urological Metastatic Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialist. You will be responsible for providing patient-centered support and education to patients with metastatic disease, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver personalized care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care and support to patients with metastatic disease
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver personalized care
- Develop and implement education programs for patients and their families
- Contribute to the development of clinical guidelines and policies
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and audits
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience at Band 5 or equivalent in a specialty, preferably cancer, palliative care, or urology
- Experience of undertaking audit and standard setting
- Understanding of the local and national nursing agenda
- Understanding of relevant national service frameworks and national guidance
- Understanding of research-based practice
- Knowledge of current issues within healthcare
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
