We are seeking a highly skilled Control and Instrument Engineer to join our team at DATS Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing control systems for various industrial applications.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop control systems for process factories, including specifying and designing control systems for a range of applications.
- Work with subcontractors to ensure the provision of design information and supervise the construction of control cabinets.
- Develop and maintain core reference design standards for all aspects of control system design.
- Collaborate with the Section Head and other specialist engineers to ensure the satisfactory delivery of work.
- Analyze plant process, commissioning, and test data to establish areas for performance and efficiency improvements.
- A good quality degree in electrical or electronic engineering or a related discipline.
- Over 3 years of relevant experience in design, preferably in a process industry.
- Experience of specifying or designing control systems for a range of applications in process factories.
- Knowledge of PLC programming requirements and standards, SCADA design and configuration, and instrumentation design.
- A competitive salary of £50,000 to £70,000 per annum, depending on experience.
- An annual company performance bonus of £3-4 K per annum.
- 25 days holiday rising to 28 days after 6 years' service.
- Flexible working, including 13 extra days per year.
- Company Sick Pay and a defined contribution pension scheme.
