About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Substance Use Nurse to join our team at Turning Point. As a Substance Use Nurse, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals struggling with substance misuse issues across Hammersmith and Fulham.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive support to individuals undergoing opiate substitute treatment, alcohol and opiate detoxifications, and promote the uptake of naloxone.
- Work closely with mental health, physical health, and social care services to ensure a collaborative approach to care.
- Develop and maintain strong links with local general hospitals and mental health inpatient units.
- Contribute to the development of a comprehensive care plan for each individual, taking into account their unique needs and circumstances.
Requirements
- Registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council.
- Confident in managing both opiates and alcohol detoxifications.
- Ability to demonstrate effective health interventions with hard-to-reach cohorts, such as homelessness.
