We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Theatre Support Coordinator. This role will provide administrative support to the Operating Theatres at Sunderland Royal Hospital, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation.
Key Responsibilities- Provide administrative support to the Operating Theatres, including answering telephone calls, responding to queries, and maintaining accurate records.
- Ensure the reception desk is fully covered, meeting and greeting patients and staff at all times.
- Manage confidential patient information, preparing and distributing relevant documents to Theatre staff.
- Liaise with wards to ensure the prompt arrival of patients into Theatre, and coordinate the delivery of non-routine products.
- Collect and correlate data, liaising with the audit department and Consultants for the ongoing National Joint Registry Audit.
- GCSE Level 2 (Numeracy and Literacy) standard or equivalent.
- Excellent IT skills, including experience with Microsoft Office software packages.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to prioritize workload and work to tight deadlines.
- Willingness to attend in-service training and improve knowledge and skills.
