Affectionately known as the 'West End of the North East,' Sunderland Empire is a Grade 2 listed theatre with a capacity of 2000. It attracts a diverse audience to a wide range of shows, including West End musicals, concerts, comedy, ballet, and opera.
The Role: Casual Dresser
As a Casual Dresser, you'll be part of the technical team at Sunderland Empire, reporting to the Technical Manager or Stage Manager. You'll collaborate closely with visiting companies, touring productions, contractors, and other ATG venue staff.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for all productions and events programmed at Sunderland Empire.
- Ensure that the technical requirements of visiting companies are met efficiently and professionally.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the technical team to deliver a seamless experience for performers, production crews, and audiences.
Skills and Experience:
Previous experience in a similar role within a theatre or live entertainment venue is desirable. A strong understanding of technical theatre practices and procedures is essential. Excellent communication and teamwork skills are crucial for success in this role.
