About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Automation Engineer to join our team at Trant Engineering. As a key member of our technical services team, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of automation solutions for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct pre-contract site surveys to identify automation requirements and develop risk assessments and method statements.
- Design and configure PLC, HMI, SCADA, and telemetry systems to meet client needs.
- Develop and implement automation solutions for water and wastewater treatment plants, including electrical control systems and instrumentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery and commissioning.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and technicians.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an automation engineer, with a strong background in electrical control systems and instrumentation.
- Hands-on electrical skills and qualifications are desirable but not essential.
- Relevant engineering qualification or equivalent experience.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
