We're on the hunt for a talented Data Engineer to join our team at Rockpool Digital. As a Data Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in designing, building, and maintaining our data platforms, ensuring they're scalable, efficient, and meet the needs of our clients.

With a strong focus on data engineering, you'll work closely with our stakeholders to understand business objectives and develop data models that drive insights and inform decision-making. Your expertise will be essential in identifying opportunities for data acquisition, usage, and generation, as well as creating data reporting that enables data-driven decision making.

As a Data Engineer at Rockpool Digital, you'll have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from building data systems and pipelines using development tools to ensuring data solutions uphold data governance and compliance frameworks. Your strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail will be invaluable in providing second-line technical support for our existing data platforms.

Requirements
  • Experience with database interrogation, querying, and analysis tools.
  • Proven history of architecting, building, testing, and maintaining whole data platforms.
  • Ability to model business problems into data structures within SQL Server.
  • Experience with ETL concepts and tools such as Azure Data Factory.
  • Understanding of Data Warehousing/Lakehouse concepts.
  • Knowledge of workflow tools such as Azure Logic App.
  • Strong data visualization skills and experience with tools such as Microsoft Fabric/Power BI.
  • Great attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience of the software engineering/development lifecycle.

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203)
