About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Theatre Practitioner to join our Trauma and Orthopaedics team at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust. As a leading centre of excellence for trauma, we are committed to delivering high-quality patient care and providing a supportive and collaborative work environment.

The successful candidate will have substantial clinical experience in theatre, preferably in the Trauma and Orthopaedic specialty, and possess excellent communication skills. They will be able to apply evidence-based practice and contribute to the development of clinical policies and procedures within the theatre department.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care and support to patients undergoing surgery
  • Contribute to the development of clinical policies and procedures within the theatre department
  • Participate in clinical governance activities, including audit and data collection
  • Ensure effective supervision and assessment of students within theatre
  • Undertake risk assessment and maintain health, safety, and infection control in clinical work areas
Person Specification
  • Current registration with NMC or HCPC
  • Evidence of CPD and teaching and assessing qualification
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to apply evidence-based practice
