POSITION:
Quality Assurance Specialist

LOCATION:
Remote

SALARY:
£60,000

Working Hours:
Monday to Thursday: 07:30 - 17:30, Friday: 07:30 - 13:30

Role Overview:
This position focuses on ensuring the quality and compliance of engineering designs and processes. The primary responsibilities include conducting thorough assessments and generating precise technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Developing comprehensive technical drawings and specifications.
2. Creating detailed designs for piping and structural components.
3. Innovating and proposing new design concepts.
4. Collaborating effectively with the design team, installation crew, and engineering departments.

Specific Duties:
- Producing high-quality manufacturing drawings, including layouts, component drawings, and templates.
- Generating fabrication drawings for piping and structural elements, including isometric and orthographic views.
- Ensuring adherence to process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) during the design phase.

- Reviewing and validating design drawings for piping systems and structural supports, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.

- Conducting surveys and creating design documentation for equipment upgrades and alterations.
- Preparing and verifying material lists.
- Offering technical insights during the engineering phase of projects.
- Assisting in the preparation of manufacturing documentation.

Required Skills and Experience:
- In-depth knowledge of piping design principles and calculations.
- Proven experience as a Pipefitter or in a similar role.
- Familiarity with ASME and BS EN standards.
- Strong understanding of petrochemical piping specifications, with a focus on site evaluations.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Extensive experience in piping and structural design within regulated sectors such as Oil, Gas, and Petrochemical industries.
- Valid UK driving license.
- Proficient in computer applications.
- Strong commitment to safety practices.
