**Job Title:** SEN Teaching Assistant

**Job Type:** Part-time, Temporary to Permanent

**Location:** King's Lynn, Norfolk

**About the Role:**

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at our partner school in King's Lynn, Norfolk. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health challenges in small, focused groups.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Support teaching and learning activities for individuals, groups, or the whole class, under the supervision of a qualified teacher.
  • Monitor and evaluate pupil responses to learning activities through various assessment and monitoring strategies.
  • Provide objective and accurate feedback on pupil achievement, progress, and other matters, ensuring the availability of relevant evidence.
  • Escort and supervise pupils on planned educational visits and journeys.
  • Manage and care for pupils' personal needs, such as toileting, changing, dressing, and implementing specific eating and drinking programs.
  • Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all learners within the classroom.
  • Support the role of parents in pupils' learning and contribute to meetings with parents to provide constructive feedback on learner progress and achievement.
  • Support or deliver learning activities, adjusting activities according to pupil responses and needs.
  • Select and prepare resources necessary to lead learning activities, taking into account pupils' interests and language and cultural backgrounds.

**Requirements:**

  • Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle, or ability to commute to King's Lynn, Norfolk.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and respond sensitively to pupils' needs.
  • Compliance with and assistance in the development of policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety, and security, quality assurance, confidentiality, and data protection.
  • Awareness of and support for difference, ensuring all pupils have equal access to opportunities to learn and develop.
  • Establishing constructive relationships and communicating with other agencies and professionals to support achievement and progress of pupils.
