We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Clinical Trials Coordinator to join our Core Research team at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the local portfolio of clinical trials, maintaining and updating the Trust Research Database, and ensuring compliance with research governance regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the management of the local portfolio of clinical trials, including coordinating trial activities, managing trial documentation, and ensuring compliance with research governance regulations.
- Maintain and update the Trust Research Database, ensuring accurate and timely data entry and reporting.
- Access the Trust's IT systems as required to retrieve and analyze relevant information, including patient data and trial documentation.
- Supply data as required to the Network Research Manager regarding progress of clinical trials, including trial metrics and participant data.
- Ensure that trial-specific investigations are undertaken as required by the research protocol, including eligibility assessments and randomization.
- Assist in ensuring that protocol-required tests and procedures are completed according to the schedule in the specific protocol, including data collection and transcription.
- Collect patient data from medical notes and complete case record forms (CRFs) in accordance with the research protocol.
- Transcribe and export data from medical records to CRFs as required by the protocol, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ensure safe filing and storage of study documentation and samples in accordance with ICH GCP and Research Governance regulations.
