About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Programme Support Tutor to join our team at IntoUniversity. As a Programme Support Tutor, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery and organisation of our innovative education programme, which aims to inspire students from disadvantaged backgrounds to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver the Programme Effectively: You will be responsible for delivering the IntoUniversity programme to children and young people in different settings, including schools-based workshops, Academic Support sessions, and educational visits.
  • Support Programme Organisation: You will assist with the organisation and delivery of the Academic Support, FOCUS, and Mentoring Programmes, ensuring that all necessary resources and materials are available.
  • Liaise with Schools and Partners: You will work closely with schools and other partner bodies to organise classroom and resources, plan project delivery, and update and maintain IntoUniversity displays, publicity, and resources.
  • Recruit Programme Participants: You will work with the IntoUniversity Centre Leader to recruit children and young people to the programme, including after-school Academic Support and FOCUS Weeks.
  • Develop Educational Resources: You will develop educational resources and worksheets for use across all IntoUniversity programmes, ensuring that they are engaging and effective.
  • Ensure Compliance: You will ensure compliance with all necessary regulations and legal requirements, including safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Champion Diversity and Inclusion: You will champion diversity and inclusion in your role at all times, referring to the Diversity and Inclusion Staff Responsibilities Guide.
Working Arrangements

This is a part-time role, working 15 or 16 hours per week, local school term-times only. The working hours will be agreed with the candidate and will include three whole team meetings, one delivery team meeting, and the annual staff conference.

Salary and Benefits

The starting salary is £27,400 (pro-rata), with a pro-rated salary of £10,558 per annum for 16 hours per week and £9,898 per annum for 15 hours per week. You will also be entitled to a range of staff benefits, including an Employee Assistance Programme, Life Assurance scheme, and Cycle to Work Scheme.
