The Role

We are currently in search of a Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our vibrant and dynamic team. This position is mobile, requiring collaboration with the maintenance manager across our properties.

The ideal candidate will possess a solid track record in maintaining safe and well-functioning environments, serving as the primary contact for both reactive and planned maintenance tasks.

This role reports to the hotel manager and maintenance manager, with additional support from a cluster maintenance manager and a knowledgeable support team.

The work schedule is based on a rota, encompassing 40 hours per week, including weekends.

Hands-on experience in addressing maintenance challenges in a guest-centric environment is essential. Experience in managing a diverse subcontractor team to deliver effective and economical solutions is also a key requirement for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with the Front Desk and Housekeeping teams to execute reactive maintenance tasks.
  • Utilize our computerized maintenance management system for planned maintenance and compliance.
  • Prioritize workload effectively to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Uphold a safe and healthy environment for guests and team members.

Specific Duties Include:

  • Cleaning air conditioning filters
  • Descaling showers and taps
  • Performing silicone and grouting tasks
  • Conducting electrical repairs
  • Executing plumbing repairs (sinks, taps, mixers)
  • Monitoring water temperature
  • Conducting daily compliance checks
  • Completing monthly, quarterly, and annual preventative maintenance tasks
  • Addressing reactive maintenance requests from guests and staff
  • Managing deliveries and storage
  • Overseeing contractor sign-in processes (permit to work)
