Due to a robust pipeline of projects in the region and exciting new collaborations with our clients, we are seeking a Principal Wastewater Network Modeller to enhance our team.


You will collaborate within an interdisciplinary group comprising 110 professionals from Stantec, spanning 13 UK offices and a team in Pune, alongside our clients and consultant/contractor partners, working together to deliver projects throughout the UK and Ireland.

This role presents a unique opportunity to join a forward-thinking team of modellers, contributing to long-term frameworks and industry-leading initiatives.

ABOUT YOU


To qualify for this position, you should possess a degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Geography, or a related field, and be a member of a relevant professional institution such as ICE or CIWEM. You will have prior experience leading projects in urban drainage contexts. Successful candidates will showcase technical expertise across a broad spectrum of urban drainage modelling activities.

Your role will involve providing guidance, training, and fostering staff development and wellbeing within the discipline.

Additionally, you will participate in the planning, scheduling, and coordination of urban drainage projects, ensuring excellence in delivery, technical governance, and adherence to best practices.

The ideal candidate will exhibit outstanding communication skills through report writing, presentation development and delivery (both external and internal), and networking within the industry.


Furthermore, you will have experience in managing and developing our personnel, demonstrating the ability to integrate seamlessly into a team while providing technical leadership in an urban drainage environment, all with a strong focus on client service.
