Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef in planning and preparing menus, ensuring that they are innovative, seasonal, and meet the needs of our guests.
  • Oversee the preparation and cooking of food, ensuring that it is of the highest quality and presented in a visually appealing way.
  • Manage the kitchen team, providing guidance and support to ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Monitor and control food costs, ensuring that they are within budget and that waste is minimized.
  • Ensure that all health and safety regulations are adhered to, and that the kitchen is maintained in a clean and hygienic condition.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef and other members of the culinary team to develop and implement new ideas and initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Sous Chef in a similar establishment.
  • NVQ 1 Food Hygiene certificate/training.
  • Interest and passion for the food industry.
  • Flexible attitude to working hours and variable shift patterns.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Creative and aware of current trends in the catering business.
  • Excellent International culinary knowledge across various cuisine types.
  • Management experience.
  • Good team player.
