Technical Environment:
  • Infrastructure: Google Cloud
  • Databases: Postgres (Cloud SQL, AlloyDB), MongoDB (Atlas)

  • Microservices: Kubernetes (GKE), primarily developed using modern asynchronous Python

Candidate Profile:
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software development, particularly in creating intricate back-end systems.

Essential Technical Skills:
  • Demonstrated experience in developing complex distributed backends using Python or other programming languages (C#, C/C++, Go, Rust, or Java) with a readiness to transition to Python.
  • Understanding of fundamental data structures and algorithms.
  • Strong grasp of event-driven architecture, including the design and implementation of event-driven systems and the challenges involved.
  • Solid experience in concurrent programming.
  • In-depth knowledge of Postgres or other databases, including indexing issues, concurrency control, and failover mechanisms.
  • Ability to be a top individual contributor while effectively collaborating with colleagues and other software engineers.
