Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our Innovation team at Shareforce Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in designing and developing cutting-edge digital solutions for our Speciality Insurance business.

About the Role

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and develop innovative digital services that drive business growth and transformation.
  • Lead the development of backend systems using Python, Fast API, and Flask, and share your expertise with the team.
  • Bring modern software engineering practices and expertise to the forefront of solution innovation, driving technical excellence and agile ways of working.
  • Work closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand business needs and goals, and deliver valuable software in small increments.
  • Proactively adopt new technologies and approaches to stay ahead of the curve and drive business impact.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of commercial experience developing complex software solutions, with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming, TDD, and BDD.
  • Experience with agile engineering practices, including Domain Driven Design, integration patterns, microservices, and containerization.
  • Cloud experience with AWS or Azure, and a strong understanding of DevOps practices, including Terraform and deployment pipelines.
  • Experience working with large databases and their use cases, as well as knowledge of CICD and observability/monitoring.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
