Job Summary

We are seeking an autonomous and capable Estimator with a Civil engineering and Infrastructure bias to lead off on the costing and pricing of projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing estimates and calculating costs, managing financial, technical, and contractual risks, and fulfilling contracts by maximising gross profit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide estimates and calculate costs of projects
  • Manage financial, technical, and contractual risks
  • Fulfil contracts by maximising gross profit
  • Provide leadership and manage and motivate a team
  • Support the bid team and tenders from start to finish
  • Provide regular forecasts and reports to understand the progress of projects
Requirements

Due to the nature of the projects, it is essential that you have previous experience as an Estimator in a rail or civil engineering/infrastructure environment, including multi-disciplinary projects and/or frameworks. This role could suit someone comfortable working from home who would then commute to Devon or Cornwall when required for business or tender meetings.

You'll be technically aware, with sound knowledge of infrastructure delivery gained with reputable contracting businesses. Some client-side experience would be a bonus.
