About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Renal Unit at St George's Hospital. As a Staff Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients with kidney failure, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing individualized nursing care to patients with renal failure, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and performing procedures as required.
  • Participating in the management of the ward, including taking charge of the ward in the absence of the Ward Manager, and contributing to the development of nursing policies and procedures.
  • Working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery and excellent patient outcomes.
  • Developing and maintaining skills in renal nursing, including dialysis and transplantation care.
  • Participating in education and training programs to enhance knowledge and skills in renal nursing.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (General) qualification.
  • Minimum of 12 months post-registration experience.
  • Ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care according to individual needs.
  • Effective prioritization of workload and patient care needs.
  • Understanding of clinical risk and ability to take charge of the ward in the absence of the Ward Manager.
  • Computer literacy and ability to use electronic patient records.
