About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Mental Health Practitioner to join our Assertive Outreach team in Dorset. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing person-centered targeted support to patients with severe and enduring mental illness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical supervision and mentoring to junior staff
  • Develop and implement specialist programmes of care for individuals or groups of patients/clients
  • Conduct regular clinics, including depot, Olanzapine, and physical health assessments
  • Apply the philosophies of engagement and recovery in work with service users
  • Work collaboratively with Consultant Psychiatrists, Psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
Requirements
  • Significant post-registration experience within mental health services, working with people with severe and enduring mental illness and complex needs
  • Knowledge of the legislative framework within which Mental Health Practitioners work
  • A clear understanding of the function of a rehabilitation service and demonstrable knowledge of therapeutic interventions used within the rehabilitation service
  • Ability to use IT systems to undertake Care Coordinator duties
  • Valid driving license and use of a car
