About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Specialist Coach to join our team at Stonewater, a leading provider of safe and supportive accommodation for women and children fleeing domestic abuse. As a Specialist Coach, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, person-centered support services to survivors of domestic abuse, empowering them to achieve their goals and build a positive future.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of customers, providing one-to-one and group support sessions to address their complex needs and goals.
  • Develop and implement personalized support plans, working closely with customers to identify and achieve their objectives.
  • Collaborate with key partners, including mental health teams, offending services, and other specialist agencies, to ensure seamless support and referrals.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop robust safety plans to ensure customer safety and well-being.
  • Maintain accurate and concise case notes and support paperwork, ensuring compliance with Stonewater's policies and procedures.
  • Provide emotional and practical support to customers, addressing issues related to domestic abuse, trauma, and mental health.
  • Work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays, as part of a five-day rota, with an on-call rota also in place.

Requirements

  • Hold a Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant subject area, such as Health & Social Care.
  • Have a deep understanding of the practical, emotional, economic, and social issues faced by survivors of domestic abuse, particularly those with multiple complex needs and women from Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic Communities.
  • Proven experience in caseload management, with a focus on outcomes for customers and their wider community.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and external partners.
  • Ability to work under pressure, using initiative and sound judgment to resolve complex issues.
