At Stonewater, we strive to provide a safe and supportive environment for women and their children fleeing domestic abuse.

Our refuge in Central Bedfordshire offers a haven for up to 12 women, with or without dependent children, to rebuild their lives.

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Specialist Coach to deliver high-quality, person-centred support to our residents, empowering them to achieve their goals and become as independent as possible.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience of working with young people in a similar role, with knowledge of homelessness and its impact on young people.
  • Working knowledge of housing and benefits advice.
  • Demonstrated experience of partnership working with specialist agencies, such as mental health teams and youth offending services.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt their approach depending on their audience and required outcome.
  • A comprehensive understanding of professional boundaries, together with a high level of personal integrity.
  • A full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel, with mileage paid for miles driven after the daily commute.

The successful candidate will be flexible in their approach, willing to take on the on-call rota once a month.

Appointment to this role will be subject to a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service Check, satisfactory references, and possession of a valid Right to Work document.
