About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Stroke Medicine Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team at the University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality acute medical and rehabilitation care to our patients.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in general internal medicine and geriatric medicine, with a focus on stroke medicine. You will work closely with our existing Stroke Consultants, Care of the Elderly Team, and General Medicine colleagues to provide excellent care to our patients at all stages of their hospital journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide acute medical and rehabilitation care to patients with stroke and other neurological conditions
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of stroke services and protocols
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care to patients
  • Participate in education and training programs to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • Full registration with the General Medical Council
  • MRCP or equivalent qualification
  • Certificate of completion in specialist training (CCT) in general internal medicine and geriatric medicine
  • Evidence of additional stroke experience
