Business Development Manager

The Account Manager plays a pivotal role in fostering enduring customer relationships and collaborating closely with our seasoned sales and technical pre-sales teams. The ideal candidate will contribute to expanding existing accounts and tapping into new market segments.
Key Responsibilities- Manage selected strategic accounts to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Develop strong, long-term relationships with customer stakeholders and executive sponsors.
- Adhere to the Account Management process and governance framework.
- Communicate progress against key initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead sales presentations, proposals, and tenders.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Promote awareness of Sword's capabilities globally.
- Manage contracts and negotiate effectively.
- Demonstrated experience in industry-related business account or sales management.
- Ability to develop and execute complex sales and account development strategies.
- Proven success in acquiring new customer accounts.
- Track record of managing large and complex accounts as a trusted advisor.
- Proficiency in working across multiple disciplines.
- Strong relationship-building skills at various levels.
- Commercially focused mindset with strategic thinking abilities.
- Goal-oriented and target-driven approach.
- Understanding of Contracts and procurement processes.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time-management skills.
- Experience in the Energy sector and selling IT services and consultancy in the UK is beneficial.
