We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic individual to join our Emergency Department at the Grange University Hospital, a specialist critical care hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our department.
Main Responsibilities- Provide emergency medical care to patients, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Participate in the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures.
- Contribute to the education and training of junior staff members.
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
The Emergency Department is a busy mixed urban/rural department, expecting to see 180,000 new patient attendances per year. The department consists of 8 Resus Bays, a 26-trolley Majors bay, 5 Assessment bays, and a co-located Children's Emergency Assessment Unit.
Requirements- Regulated Activity with children and adults as defined by the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act (amended by the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012).
- Enhanced check with barred list information, including - an adults and children's barred list check.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
