Job Title: Medical Device Reprocessing Technician/Perioperative Aide

We are seeking a Casual Medical Device Reprocessing Technician/Perioperative Aide to join our team at Kootenay Lake Regional Hospital in Nelson, BC.

Job Summary:

This is a casual position, which means hours are not guaranteed and days of work and shift times may vary. As a Medical Device Reprocessing Technician/Perioperative Aide, you will perform a series of detailed technical duties related to the preparation of the Operating Room (OR) theaters and the position and preparation of surgical patients and related supplies/equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Restock supplies in the theaters and storage areas and transport patients, specimens, equipment, and supplies within the perioperative areas.
  • Support the surgical team regarding patient observations and interactions, and in the use, care, and location of perioperative equipment and supplies.
  • Perform a series of detailed technical duties related to the preparation of the Operating Room (OR) theaters and the position and preparation of surgical patients and related supplies/equipment.
