Estates Advisor
Salary:
£27,000 to £30,000 per annum plus local government benefits
Work Environment:
This role is primarily office-based, with some flexibility for remote work when feasible.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in enhancing local capacity to mitigate operational risks and oversee site-related matters.
2. Collaborate with the Trust Estates Manager to manage and execute the Trust Estates Strategy, focusing on immediate and long-term condition projects.
3. Develop and implement an ongoing annual maintenance plan, coordinating service contracts and preventive work across the organization.
4. Liaise with external professionals, including architects and surveyors, to gather advice and specifications for estate improvements.
5. Conduct regular performance reviews and monitor contractual outputs for external services such as grounds maintenance and catering.
6. Attend project site meetings and provide updates to the Trust Estates Manager as necessary.
7. Ensure compliance with statutory inspections and address any non-compliance issues promptly.
8. Manage asbestos procedures, including action plans for management or removal of asbestos-containing materials.
9. Oversee building projects, ensuring they are completed within the designated time frames and budgets.
10. Participate in meetings across Trust sites as required.
11. Assist with accident investigations, insurance claims, and emergency response plans.
12. Be prepared to step in for Site Managers during short-term emergencies.
13. Work with the Trust Estates Manager to explore joint procurement opportunities and develop specifications to optimize costs and ensure compliance.
14. Support the implementation of the Trust's estates and Health & Safety policies, ensuring all operations align with safety standards.
15. Conduct regular health and safety inspections of each estate, generating compliance reports and action plans as needed.
