Job Title: Supply Chain Executive

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Executive to join our team at Beauty Bay. As a key member of our Inbound Supply Chain department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our global supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Import and Export Management: You will be responsible for controlling UK and international shipments to ensure orders are delivered on time, keeping all relevant teams aware of the progress of all imports from authorisation of the order to acceptance by the goods in team.
  • Shipping and Logistics: Obtaining shipping quotes to ensure all goods are moved on the most cost-effective rates in the market, and arranging supply chain consolidations.
  • Customs Compliance: Completing customs documents to ensure records are accurate with HMRC legislation, and ensuring full compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Inventory Management: Managing inbound forecasting & stock reports, and updating and controlling the progress of Purchase Orders through internal systems.
  • Supplier Management: Liaising with suppliers to ensure orders are in process and will achieve delivery targets, and communicating with carriers to ensure collections are made from suppliers.
  • Administrative Tasks: Assisting with supplier invoice reconciliation, reconciling brand invoices against purchase orders, and signing off freight invoices.
  • Continuous Improvement: Investigating order discrepancies, overs, under, damages, and supporting the Inbound goods in warehouse team with queries.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Attending internal and external meetings, and undertaking specific administrative tasks as agreed with Line Manager.

Requirements:

  • International Import Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience in international import, airfreight, sea freight, or road freight.
  • Online Retail Experience: Experience within online retail/e-commerce is highly advantageous.
  • Communication and Analytical Skills: Ability to communicate information effectively, in a clear and concise manner, and competent using Excel to record, analyse and share information.
  • Problem-Solving and Time Management: Ability to work to deadlines, manage their own workload, and problem-solve/interpret data.
  • Customs Procedures and Regulations: Experience and understanding of customs procedures, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment under the pressure of deadlines.
  • Excellent Communication and Teamwork: Excellent communication both oral and written, ability to work effectively on multiple tasks, and excellent listening skills and the ability to retain information.
