Job Overview:

We are currently seeking an experienced Immigration Law Paralegal to join our team at Central Chambers Law in a busy office setting. The ideal candidate should have strong organisational skills, be fluent in English, and have experience in the role of an Immigration Law Paralegal.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct client interviews, document them, and attend to clients at the office or elsewhere as directed.
  2. Assist under supervision in drafting correspondence, pleadings, and submissions in consultation with the conducting solicitor/counsel duly instructed.
  3. Maintain and keep up-to-date orderly and complete files in respect of the solicitor's matters under their care in accordance with case management procedures.
  4. Respond to client enquiries in a prompt and professional manner, and assist with file reviews and updates.
  5. Maintain fair and accurate records of the work undertaken under supervision regarding all matters on the CMS.
  6. Regularly maintain time recording records.
  7. Maintain good channels of communication and efficient working relationships with supervisors, solicitors, accredited representatives, and secretarial staff.

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience in an Immigration Law paralegal role.
  2. Proficiency in computerised systems and office software.
  3. Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills.
  4. Strong organisational abilities with attention to detail.
  5. Fluent in English.
