About the Role:

As a CBRE Facilities Sr. Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of a facility, campus, or portfolio of buildings. This role is part of the Facilities Management functional area, which focuses on all aspects of building operations and maintenance, providing support to Property Managers regarding repairs and investment plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Team Management: Provide formal supervision to employees, track training and development, conduct performance evaluations, and oversee recruiting and hiring.
  • Facility Operations: Coordinate and manage daily activities, establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines, mentor, and coach as needed.
  • Facility Maintenance: Coordinate and manage facility repairs and maintenance by working with technicians, vendors, and contractors.
  • Client Relationships: Maintain positive client relationships and conduct meetings on unresolved facility issues.
  • Capital Projects: Prepare and manage large and high-profile capital projects, operating budgets, and variance reports.
  • Quality Assurance: Perform facility inspections quality assurance following local, state, and federal regulations. Suggest and implement operational efficiencies, repairs, and upgrade opportunities.
  • Environmental Health and Safety: Create environmental health and safety procedures for facilities.
  • Vendor Management: Develop vendor relationships and oversee invoicing procedures. Review and approve purchase orders for the procurement of parts, services, and labor for projects.
  • Business Acumen: Apply a broad knowledge of the business, own discipline, and how own discipline integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.
  • Leadership and Influence: Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence others to adopt a different point of view while being guided by policies and departmental plans.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and solve technical and operational problems of complexity.
  • Departmental Impact: Understand and recognize the broader impact across the department.
  • Process Improvement: Improve and change existing methods, processes, and standards within job discipline.
Requirements:
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5 - 8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Valid driver's license required. Facility Management certification preferred.
  • Leadership Skills: Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations, and handle problems.
  • Leadership and Motivation: Leadership skills to motivate the team to achieve broad operational targets with impacts on own job discipline, multiple job disciplines, and department.
  • Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Organizational and Analytical Skills: Extensive organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive mindset.
  • Mathematical Skills: Intermediate math skills. Ability to calculate complicated figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
