Position Overview

The primary responsibility of this role is to deliver professional, efficient, and precise administrative and reception support to the Nephrology administration and clinical teams.

Fluency in Welsh is a mandatory requirement for this position.

Key Responsibilities

Your duties will include managing and responding to telephone inquiries from patients, families, various agencies, and Health Board staff in a courteous, supportive, and sensitive manner. You will address queries within your scope of responsibility or direct them to the appropriate department.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Good standard of education.
  • Evidence of continuous professional development.
  • RSA II typing or word processing or equivalent demonstrable experience.

Desirable

  • NVQ Customer Service Level 3.

Experience

Essential

  • Prior experience in a clerical, administrative, or reception role.
  • Copy/Audio typing experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of Patient Administration Systems.
  • Proficient in using Word, Excel, and Outlook, with the ability to manage electronic diaries effectively.
  • Capable of communicating competently, effectively, and professionally both verbally and in writing with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Experienced in planning, organizing, and prioritizing own workload.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing service demands.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate in Welsh.

  • Experience working within the NHS.
